Storm of Arranon & Fire and Ice Book Tour!

Blurb: Storm of Arranon

A forbidden birth. A remarkable young woman. A marauding alien society. The battle begins.
Cadet Erynn Yager guards a secret that if revealed would change her life, and not for the good. Erynn senses the emotions of others, can manipulate the electro magnetic field around her, bend time for brief moments, and see the future. It’s not Erynn’s abilities that jeopardize her. It’s why she has these talents. Erynn’s very birth as a child of two worlds is forbidden.
When a brutal alien society begins an invasion, sending a specialized team to assassinate a military representative, Erynn bends time, saving the dignitary’s life. The alien assassin takes Erynn hostage, using her as a shield to evade capture. Pursued and attacked, they crash land on Arranon, the sister planet of Erynn’s home world, Korin.
Erynn escapes the enemy, fleeing into the unfamiliar dangers of an untamed, frigid, and beautiful planet.
Jaer, enigmatic leader of Arranon’s elite Anbas Warriors, vows to protect Erynn. Together they try to save their worlds. From their first meeting, her touch awakens a need Jaer thought dead and buried, creating in him a desire for something more in his life. His defenses tatter, carried away by the intensity of Erynn’s unusual energy. Jaer covers his feelings with a rigid defiance, not believing someone as precious as Erynn could ever love him.
Obsessed with Erynn’s potential, the enemy hunts her. In a constant race to elude the invaders, Erynn becomes aware of a mysterious connection between her growing powers and the living consciousness of Arranon, leading her on a mystical journey. The wild animals of the forests assist Erynn, communicate with her. Even the weather seems to interact with Erynn, acting on her behalf, further drawing her into the spirit of Arranon, a world that needs her help. The ghostly vision of Erynn’s biological father comes to her, empowering her, instructing her to trust Arranon.
Arranon leads Erynn to a portal, a virtual doorway to another realm and a strange glowing life form, a collective colony of part plant, part animal. By linking their intellect to hers, they impart their warning. The alien is gaining control and time is running out. With Erynn’s trust increasing, Arranon reveals one last task. Erynn faces this final terrifying responsibility with courage and sacrifice, her only hope to save her worlds.

Blurb : Fire and Ice

A dark evil rises. A world on the threshold of destruction. A crossing into a mysterious realm. The journey begins.
Newly commissioned Interceptor fighter pilot, Erynn Yager, knows sacrifice. Her battle against a brutal alien enemy intent on destroying her two worlds set her on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment, all while struggling to gain control of her secret abilities. With the alien threat crushed, Erynn believes the worst is behind her. She settles in to experience first love and a changed life on a hidden military base deep inside a glacier covered mountain on Arranon.
Her peaceful existence can’t last.
Dhoran, the evil sovereign of Arranon’s underworld has risen from the dead to possess an unwilling human. Dhoran’s powers grow while he plots a war that may plunge Arranon onto a path of destruction neither realm will survive. Arranon is pulled into chaos as violence spreads across the planet.
Drawn first in visions, Erynn enters a diverse world beneath Arranon’s surface, a realm teeming with danger, mystery, and beauty. The battle thrusts her into an uncharted kingdom, intensifying her connection to the heart and soul of the living Arranon.

Author Bio:

I have always been a reader. I love books, all the characters you meet, grow to love or hate, and the exciting places stories take you. When I wasn’t able to read, I listened to audio books on tape or CD. Still do. So at any given time, I probably have and audio book and an e-book or paperback going.
I wrote stories as a kid, usually about horses and dogs. Later, I realized I wrote fairly decent newspapers articles and was being asked to write letters for friends and family.
I started to dabble in writing while working as a Paramedic/Firefighter in Northern California. Trust me, it’s not like it appears on TV. There was plenty of time for books, mostly reading them.
I didn't seriously start writing until I moved to a ranch in Oregon. While waiting for lambs to be born in the middle of the night, I would head back to the house for an hour or two and sit down at the computer. Before I knew it, I had a book. It wasn't good, needed lots of work, but I learned a few things along the way.
I got involved with critique groups and went to writer's conferences. I was on the fast track to learning.
About four years ago the dabbling became more serious when worlds and characters screamed for-no-demanded attention. So I wrote my first manuscript. Then I wrote a second, a third, and a fourth. Wow!
Ideas from dreams follow me into warm sunny days or the quiet of falling snow. What ifs feed a vivid imagination. Even miss-typed phrases may lead to an "aha" moment. Brain storming sessions standing in windy, dark parking lots with fellow writers release thoughts that pry at the corners of my mind, grasping for purchase. Sometimes the ideas pursue me- with persistence.
The line-up of book ideas in my computer grows. Those will get their chance to be heard and seen when my Storm of Arranon Series is finished.
Hmmm. Finished?

A child is born...into the final showdown of Vampire and Hunter

The face of a killer, the heart of a lost child…

Konrad once led the legendary first team of Hungarian vampire hunters. Now, refusing to ally with the undead, he goes his own way, slaughtering vampires across the length and breadth of Europe.

The dying thoughts of one such vampire send Konrad to Britain in search of a dangerous instrument that  might be just what he needs in his obsessive war with undead overlord Saloman – a war he’s determined to win at any cost. The only being who can lead him to the instrument and its current, evil possessor, is sexy, mysterious, young Glaswegian vampire Maggie, who holds herself aloof from her own kind.

Maggie sees much more than Konrad’s anger and cruelty. She makes it her mission to reach beyond the horrors of his past and find the man he should have been. Difficult, when he threatens her heart as well as everything she believes in; and when her whole being clamors for his body and his blood.

While journalists circle, about to break the news of vampire existence on mainstream television, Elizabeth Silk labors to give birth to Saloman’s daughter: and Maggie plays a dangerous game that risks everyone for her belief in one troubled man.

My third Blood Hunter: Konrad
by Marie Treanor
I won’t lie – I had trouble writing this book!
It’s the third of the Blood Hunters stories, a series close to my heart, the sixth book set in this world; and yet I knew BLOOD DESCENT would be difficult. Why? Because, between you and me, I didn’t really like my hero, Konrad L. He was too rigid and serious; I’d made him risk people’s lives in previous books, and oppose what my heroes and heroines were fighting for. So he wasn’t my favourite character. Plus, I’d given him a damned good reason to hate vampires, so it was hard to fit him in to the growing d├ętente between my hunters and the undead.
I actually thought about missing out his story, but since he’s the third of a three-person team of vampire hunters whose stories I’ve enjoyed telling so far, he really was next in line. To get round this, I then decided to make him a villain in someone else’s story - but that didn’t really work either.
On the other hand, writing him about him as a not-so-straightforward villain finally got me into his head. I began to have a sneaking liking for him after all, caught on to his sense of humour and his hard sense of justice; and I found the scenes with him began to sparkle for me far more than the scenes with my supposed hero! And when I got to the end, I just couldn’t make my heroine foil his evil plan as she was meant to. It was all wrong!
So now, understanding Konrad as I finally did, I rewrote his part in the story. Konrad is the strongest of the vampire hunters, a tough, apparently fearless man on a mission to save humanity. He is a man of rigid duty, who always does what he perceives to be right, and he knows vampires are always wrong…until he meets brash, gorgeous Glaswegian vampire Maggie, who proves herself rather more human than he’s become. Through Maggie he begins to question his assumptions and his evidence, to rediscover a softer side which had been killed by horrific experiences.
I won’t tell you how Konrad triumphs – after all, I want you to read the book! But I will say that having overcome my difficulties with him, he’s managed to become one of my favourite heroes ever J. I hope you feel the same!
So, how troubled do you like your troubled heroes?

Excerpt: Chapter One

Chapter One
The waves of the lake crashed next to Dane Burke like greedy reporters descending onto a crime scene. Dane picked up the severed hand, careful to touch it only with the tips of his gloved fingers, all in an attempt to save what little evidence remained.
The fingers were wrinkled and pale, the color of rotting fish. The skin of the palm flapped back, exposing the white lines of the tendons and the bloated pink muscles of the victim’s hand. He pushed back the skin, covering the hand’s viscera. The flesh was rubbed raw in several places, but whether it was from the time in the water or something else Dane couldn’t be sure.
Behind him, the secondary officer, Grant, talked with the woman who’d phoned in the find. The woman was blonde, thin, and uncomfortably beautiful.
“So, Aura, are you in Montana for business or pleasure?” Officer Grant asked, with just a little too much glee in his voice.
Dane tried to ignore the amateurish come-ons the officer threw at the blonde with the large blue eyes and plump lips that pulsed with the pink hues of life.
He turned the gruesome hand over in his. The fingernails of the victim were painted a vivid red, now brighter than the blood that had settled in the person’s flesh. He snickered quietly as he thought about the stark difference between the woman behind him who was the embodiment of life and the macabre sloughing object of death he stared upon.
Maybe the kid wasn’t so wrong for focusing on the woman. If he’d been just a few years younger, maybe he would have been acting that way too—focusing on the beauty of the woman instead of the gore of the job. But he’d long since given up on the things in life that only brought bitterness—death was easier to handle…
